Son Heung-min (Tottenham) and Lee Kang-in (Mallorca) could be set for a new challenge together at Serie A side AC Milan.
“Tottenham are set to finish the season without a trophy again,” Il Romanista reported on Wednesday (June 23), “so they could completely change their team in the summer transfer market. In particular, several players could leave. There is a possibility that the team’s best player could leave. Tottenham’s key striker, Son Heung-min, has been linked with a move to Serie A.”
“Heung-min hasn’t won a trophy since joining Tottenham, and there’s a good chance he could challenge to lift the trophy,” he said. “If he does leave Tottenham, many clubs will be interested. In Serie A, Inter Milan and AC Milan are likely to be active in the race to sign Son.”
Tottenham are in eighth place with 57 points with just one league game remaining. They have already been eliminated from the UEFA Champions League and the Europa League.
Of course, they still have a chance to qualify for the Europa Conference. For now, Tottenham will have to wait for the results of Aston Villa (58 points) after their win against Leeds United. If Aston Villa wins, they will not qualify for Europe.
If Tottenham fails to qualify for Europe’s club competition, it will be the first time in 10 seasons that Son Heung-min has not played in European competition since the 2012-2013 season when he played for Hamburg in Germany.
Heung-min has played in the UCL every season since joining Leverkusen in 2013-2014, so finishing eighth would be a big blow.
The departure of close friends could also affect Son Heung-min. Lucas Moura has already parted ways with Tottenham at the end of the season, and Harry Kane is constantly being linked with a move away.
Heung-min, especially as he gets older, may want to experience the trophy while he’s still in good shape.
“Between Inter Milan and AC Milan, AC Milan are the favorites,” says Il Romanista. “AC Milan, in particular, could offer to trade Raphael Leroy,” says Il Romanista. “Of course, Leroy is more valuable than Son Heung-min in terms of potential value. However, Son is an attractive option.”
After finishing as the Premier League’s joint top scorer with 23 goals last season, Son has scored 10 goals in 35 games this season. He has been plagued by injuries. But he’s still in good form. Leroy Sane scored a career-high 13 goals in 33 Serie A games this season 먹튀검증.
Lee has also been linked with a move to AC Milan.
“Serie A would be the best destination for Lee,” Pichajes said on March 23. He wants to leave Mallorca at the end of the season, with several teams interested. AC Milan have targeted an Asian player as Lee’s departure from Mallorca looks certain.”
In 33 Primera Liga appearances in the 2022-2023 season, Lee scored six goals and provided five assists, making him one of the team’s best ace players.
But it wasn’t all about goals and assists. Whenever he was on the pitch, he showed off his strengths with excellent situational awareness, intelligent passing, and daring dribbling. As a result, several clubs, including Atletico Madrid and Aston Villa, began to express interest in signing him.
“The 23-year-old striker could join forces with AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli and leave his fate in the hands of the San Siro. He would replace Brahim Dias, who is set to leave the club.”
The possibility of Son and Lee joining forces has already been raised. HITC reports that “Tottenham are interested in signing Mallorca star Lee Kang-In. Lee’s buyout clause is 20 million euros (29 billion won), which fits Tottenham’s budget. Son Heung-min and Lee Kang-in could be a ‘dream combo’ at Tottenham.”
