She’s a living legend in Korean women’s volleyball.
This year, the 43-year-old is preparing for a new season with her hometown team GS Caltex.
She says she wants to be a ‘toxic big sister’.

Chung Dae-young returned to her hometown team after nine years.
She is already very happy with the new facilities.

The only inconvenience is that we’re in the middle of nowhere, so there’s no food delivery.

From playing every game last season to winning a miraculous upset.
With a salary that has nearly doubled, time is literally going backwards for 43-year-old Jung.

“If you’re going to do this, do it until you’re 50.”

“I don’t think I’ll be able to walk around by the time I’m 50, so I think I’ll be a bit of a poisonous sister, a scary sister, when I train.”
She hopes to provide support to her middle school daughter, who is also pursuing a career in volleyball.

“I don’t say it out loud, but I think there was a lot of pressure on me, and when I told her, ‘My mom is Jung Dae-young,’ she said, ‘You’re living your life, and I’m living my mom’s life, so I don’t want you to feel that pressure.'”
