South Korea national soccer team forward Hwang Eui-jo has returned to European football after more than eight months away. 토토사이트

Hwang, who recently joined Norwich City on loan from English Premier League (EPL) side Nottingham Forest in the Championship (second tier), played 30 minutes after coming on as a 15-minute substitute for Adam Uche Aida in the second half of the home match against Stoke City in the sixth round of the 2023-2024 regular season at Carrow Road in Norwich, England, on Sunday.

However, he did not record a goal or an assist. Jack Stacey scored the game-winning goal in the 44th minute to give the Canaries a 1-0 victory. Norwich City have four wins, one draw and one loss (13 points) and are in early contention at the top of the table.

After a successful career with French side Girondins Bordeaux, he joined the EPL via Nottingham last summer and was sent out on a season-long loan to Olympiakos (Greece) as scheduled. However, a 12-match goal drought led to his loan being terminated early, and he returned to FC Seoul in the first half of this year. After returning to the K League and improving his form, he returned to Nottingham this summer to try and break into the first team, but it wasn’t to be. He was labeled ‘unfit’ early on and had to find a new home. That’s when Norwich came calling, and he made a surprise loan move.

After participating in two A matches in England, against Wales on the 8th and Saudi Arabia on the 13th, Hwang returned to Norwich with a better sense of the game. Named to the substitutes’ bench on the day, he took to the field in place of Ida, who started up front, and while he didn’t add any points to the scoreline, he was able to get back into the swing of things on the European stage.

It’s been more than eight months since Hwang played an official match in Europe in a club jersey since a cup tie against Olympiakos’ Atromitos on Jan. 12.

For Stoke City, Bae Jun-ho, who recently received his first call-up to the A team, started the game, but he was not able to see any direct action as he was subbed off a minute after Hwang’s introduction.

Bae, who made his debut for Stoke City as a substitute at Preston two days ago, has earned the trust of manager Alex Neil by breaking into the starting lineup after just two games. However, he was unable to pick up any points on the day.
