Riot Games announced today that tickets for the League of Legends World Championship (RLWC) Play-In Stage will go on sale at 6 p.m. ET. Tickets for the Swiss Stage will go on sale on July 19, and tickets for the Knockout Stage, which runs from the quarterfinals to the finals, will go on sale on August 2 via Interpark.

The LCK (Korea) and LPL (China) will both have four teams at the World Championship, but the teams representing the LCK and LPL at the World Championship will not participate in the play-in stage. All eight teams from both regions will compete in the Swiss stage.
The format of the Play-In Stage has also changed. Two groups of four teams will play a double-elimination bracket to determine the two teams that will advance to the Swiss Stage. Each group will play a best-of-three, best-of-two double-elimination series, with the winner of one group advancing to the Swiss Stage in a best-of-five, best-of-three series against the winner of the other group.
The Play-In Stage will feature the top two teams from Vietnam (PCS) and Southeast Asia (PCS), as well as the top one team from Latin America (LLA), Brazil (CBLoL), Japan (LJL), and the winner of the newly created World Championship Qualifier Series (WQS). The World Championship Series will be a best-of-five, best-of-three series between the No. 4 seeds from the LEC (EMEA) and LCS (North America).
The play-in stage will take place from October 10-15 at Roll Park in Jongno-gu, Seoul. Tickets for the play-in are priced at 30,000 won for weekday matches, 35,000 won for Saturday matches, and 38,000 won for Sunday matches, with a limit of two tickets per person.
