Boston attempts first-ever reverse sweep.
The Boston Celtics defeated the Miami Heat 104-103 in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals of the 2023 NBA Playoffs on Monday (Feb. 28) at the Amway Center in Miami.
With the win, Boston evened the series at three games apiece. After dropping the first three games of the series, Boston rallied from behind to even the series 토토사이트.
The hero of Game 6 was Derrick White. Led by Jimmy Butler, Miami took a one-point lead with three seconds left in regulation. Boston responded with a three-pointer from Smart that went off the rim in an unsteady position, and White, who came out of nowhere, made a celestial tip-in to send the series to a decisive Game 7.
In the history of the NBA, there have been a total of 150 3-0 series leads, and there has never been a single instance where a team that dropped the first three games has come back to win the series. If Boston can force a Game 7, they will make NBA history.
Only four times has a team down 3-0 taken a series to Game 7, including this year’s Boston. New York in the 1951 Finals, Denver in the 1994 Western Semifinals, Portland in the 2003 Western Finals, and Boston this year.
- Teams that made history
1951 Finals: New York (vs. Rochester Royals)
1994 Western Semifinals: Denver (vs Utah)
2003 West Finals: Portland (vs Dallas)
All three of these teams were unable to take the series, ultimately losing in Game 7. The difference between those three teams and Boston this season is the difference between home and away. While the previous three teams played their final seven games on the road, Boston has the advantage of playing Game 7 at home.
That’s Boston against the odds. The final Game 7 between Boston and Miami will take place on March 30.
