KT Wiz head coach Lee Kang-cheol talked about the LG Electronics bench-clearing situation the day before.

KT will play the 13th game of the 2023 Shinhan Bank SOL KBO League season against SSG Landers at KT Wiz Park in Suwon on Monday. The previous day (July 7), Ko Young-pyo “Goquel” Ko gave up six runs in six innings against the LG Twins, leading to a 4-11 loss.

“LG was strong,” Lee said, “all their hitters had good contact. Somehow, they make in-play hits, and when they go out, they run. I think everyone runs except Park Dong-won. Anyone goes to second base. I’ll admit it (to the loss),” he added.

LG shook KT the day before with 14 hits (two home runs) and a whopping six stolen bases. Park Hae-min, Oh Ji-hwan, Moon Sung-joo, Moon Bo-kyung, and Choi Seung-min had stolen bases. Moon had two stolen bases in the fourth and sixth innings.

The ninth inning was the problem. In the top of the ninth, Ha Jun-ho, the team’s fourth pitcher, gave up a left-handed single to Hong Chang-ki and a sacrifice bunt to Shin Min-jae before giving up a right-handed single to Kim Hyun-soo, putting runners on first and third. The game was now 3-7 in favor of KT.

Kim gave up a stolen base to Choi Seung-min, who pinch-hit for Kim, and induced Jung Joo-hyun to hit a grounder to the second baseman, but a throwing error by the second baseman led to an unearned run. Hong Chang-ki crossed home plate and an error allowed Choi Seung-min to score.

Left-hander Ha Jun-ho pitched to the next batter, left-hander Moon Bo-kyung, who was close to the plate. It was a close call.

Moon grounded into a double play, then hit Oh Ji-hwan with a pitch to the body. It hit Oh Ji-hwan in the back. Oh’s face contorted. He struck out Kim Min-sung on a wild pitch and then gave Moon Sung-joo a pitch to the body.

The atmosphere was tense. He then faced Park Hae-min and threw a pitch to the head. Eventually, Park lost his temper and the players in the dugout came out, leading to a bench-clearing incident.

Commentator Park Yong-tae believed that “it was not an intentional empty ball,” but the atmosphere was tense. At this point, manager Lee Kang-cheol left the dugout and headed to the umpires.

“I went out to check if (Park Hae-min) went out with a good pitch, but there was no chance left, so I said ‘yes’ and came in,” Lee said. When asked if he had spoken to manager Yeom Gyeom-yeop, he replied, “It’s nothing to talk about. There was no problem.”

Meanwhile, KT’s starting pitcher for the day is Jeobusung Choi. He has a 6-7 record and a 4.18 ERA in 21 games this season. 토토사이트

He took the loss against the Kiwoom Heroes on April 2, giving up three runs in five innings. Despite his recent struggles, he has one win against SSG this year, pitching five innings of one-run ball.

KT’s batting order was Kim Min-hyuk (right fielder), Lee Ho-yeon (second baseman), Hwang Jae-gyun (third baseman), Park Byung-ho (designated hitter), Jeong Jae-dae (center fielder), Alford (left fielder), Oh Yoon-seok (first baseman), Kang Hyun-woo (catcher), and Kim Sang-soo (shortstop).
