‘Atletico Madrid have lost out on South Korean star Lee Kang-in.

‘Lee Kang-in will not sign for Atletico Madrid,’ the outlet wrote, adding that ‘negotiations broke down and the two clubs were unable to reach an agreement’.

‘Atletico Madrid have hit a snag in talks to sign Real Mallorca playmaker Lee Kang-In and look set to lose him,’ Football España reported.

‘Atletico Madrid are in the race to sign Lee Kang-In from a number of English Premier League clubs, but sources say it is 99.9 percent certain that he will not be heading to Atletico Madrid,’ the publication wrote. ‘Atletico Madrid and the Mallorca club are nowhere near an agreement, and despite suggestions that they could include players such as Rodrigo Riquelme to bring the price down, talks have stalled,’ the report says.

‘The buyout clause for Lee is €25 million, which is too much for Atletico to afford,’ the outlet said. ‘Lee has proven his ability this season, scoring six goals and seven assists in 36 La Liga games and contributing to 35.1 percent of Mallorca’s goals,’ the report said. ‘With these figures, the potential publicity Lee could bring to the club in Asia and his undisputed talent, the chances of him leaving Real Mallorca this summer are quite high.
